People tend to make mistakes.

To err is human.

I know I’ve made my share.

Okay, okay.

At least according to my wife, probably more than my share.

Mistakes are especially easy when you’re trying to go green.

We all know that living more healthfully and all naturally is better for our health, and better for the planet.

But we still make mistakes.

Here is the one big mistake that I made, and that you can avoid by learning from me.

I believed the labels.

Big corporations love to slap the labels “Green,” “All-Natural” or “Eco-Friendly” on their products.

One, it can trick green-conscious consumers like you and me to buy their crappy products, which are basically just the same dangerous chemicals that they sell normally, in a nicer-looking bottle.

Two, they CAN CHARGE US MORE, while lying to us.

So, it’s a twofer.  They make us sick.  And they charge us more for it.

The simple fact is, there is no regulation on words like “Green” or “All-Natural.”

So, a big corporation can claim that its dangerous cleaning chemicals are really safe for your family and pets.

And not toxic for the environment.

Basically, they can lie on their labels.

And they do lie.

A lot.

Like I said, I made the mistake to believe their labels.

Over my own lyin’ eyes.

And lungs.

And I learned the hard way.

Paying more money for “Green” products, only to get sick afterwards.

But if big corporations can lie to us, and the government won’t do anything about it, what can we do?

Well, we have to look out for ourselves.

And use the common sense that God gave us.

For example, which do you think is better for your health?

Using cleaning chemicals?

Or cleaning using only water?

Which do you think is better for the environment?

Throwing paper towels away?

Or re-using one permanent towel again and again?

When you make the obvious choice, you’ll not only breathe easier.

And make the planet cleaner.

You’ll also save some money.
